After considering a number of different titles for this post, I settled for what was at the heart of all of them - waking up. If you pay any attention to the media or any other variety of gloom and doom, fear tactics, or the sky is falling mentality, STOP.
How often do you feel paralyzed by fear and scared of the future? Or its less freaked out cousin - indecisiveness and lack of clarity?
We think its our duty to stay informed. That, like the fear, is a lie. I don't deny there are changes happening, some of which may feel pretty scary to people. The built up energy and fear around these circumstances is the exact opposite of what's needed. Focusing on the problem is like adding stink sauce to a pile of ****. Yes, sometimes, it is important to be that blunt.
What's needed now is innovation, creativity, and collaboration.
I often hear people remark on how they are worried about the future. The future hasn't happened yet. We are making it, NOW, with our thoughts, feelings, actions, choices. When you wake up and realize that fear is only one aspect of reality, you automatically tap into exactly what's needed to transform a situation. This isn't reserved for a select few. We are all being called. And we are all courageous enough to step into the role of changemaker.
So, how do you wake up?
I could fill your toolbox with many ways of doing so. One that has been particularly helpful for me is a favorite movie and soundtrack - What About Me? by 1 Giant Leap. It's a journey around the world filled with organic conversation from some of the foremost artists and thinkers of our times. The music is powerful and so are the philosophies. Whenever I'm stuck, it helps bring me back to the light. As does Enchanted, but that's another post all together.
Here is a trailer on bombardment and peace from one of the chapters in What About Me?
What helps you wake up and create the future you want to live into?

Great post, I love the term you used "changemaker" and also how you mentioned tapping into creativity during these times. Can't wait to check out the movie you mentioned, too! Have a wonderful day!
