In a word: Everything.
After working in a number of different environments - from catering to coaching, princessing to preschool teacher, retail to reiki - the common denominator was still the same. Those that were consistently in good moods, were effective at what they did, open in their opinions, and overall supportive of those around them all had one thing in common: They took care of themselves.
Health is so much more than what you eat and how much you exercise. It's attitude, self-respect, how you communicate, feeling fulfilled in what you do, having fun and laughing, being in loving relationships. I've often heard people lamenting about not knowing how to add "more" health to their lives, as if their to do list had just taken a hit.
The way I look at it is this:
Health is a choice.
That's it. Every day we make choices about everything. What we eat, where we work, who we hang with, how we structure our day. Change isn't as complicated or mysterious as you might think. Whether it's time to eat, speak, work, move, or whatever, ask yourself - What would be the healthiest choice for me right now?
When you start to make little changes (and it doesn't matter where you start), it gets easier and easier to make healthy choices on a regular basis. Especially if you start paying attention and acknowledging what you are already doing that supports your health. In fact, I guarantee you that one of the healthiest moves you can make for yourself is a shift in perception. If that feels too difficult of a place to start, choose healthy food instead. It will help your brain function properly (as well as the other parts of you) which makes it easier to make that mental/perceptual shift. Trust me on this one. ;-)
What healthy choices have you made for yourself today?

Definitely a wonderful reminder to look at the bigger picture.

Hi Vanessa!
Great advice! I have noticed that, as a positive person, I usually feel better than my husband and roommate who are more pessimistic in their outlooks. They are constantly dealing with gastrointestinal issues. I'm just tired from being on the go from 5:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. every day!
Thanks!

I agree so much on the perception.
Mindset is the first step to good health.
