Sort of...
I've always wanted to write a post with that title. New friends, eh hem, new exotic well traveled (truly) interesting strangers turned friends equipped with gifts of dark organic chocolate, would be the more accurate description. Yes, indeed.
When's the last time you dreamed up a scenario and it happened?
Enter my latest experience of synchronicity. Last weekend I had a garage sale. There were a number of fascinating characters that showed up. Two of which were a mother & daughter team with an air of mystery, intrigue, and "I'd be good to have tea with" vibe. They came back on the second day, not for anything in particular, more like horses sniffing the wind and following their noses.
Not only did they direct us to the most heavenly storage place (I'm not joking, it's like straight out of heaven, that's another post though), they also invited us to dinner. A meal with strangers? At their house? It's like something that happens in the movies, or other countries, or generations ago. I'm not a cynic. But I did grow up in a big city, where even with neighbors, romances, and friends, there was a build up to coming over for dinner. Like a pre-date date.
Yet, everything about this, from being asked to showing up to chowing down to chatting about - all good. Seamlessly flowed. Tasty meal, dessert, good company, and gifts of my favorite chocolate bars. I had dreamed of this. "Wouldn't it be great to meet really cool people and then have them feed us really good food?" is a conversation topic my husband and I revisit often.
Have you had that happen? Imagining what you want, only to receive it, and then question if it's actually happening. Why is it that it's easier to believe what's not possible than what is? I say hooey to that. Gather the evidence of what's working and you will up the ante in receiving more experiences just like it.
To our new friends, I say cheers!
To you, I say dare yourself into being an exotic stranger, letting your intuition lead you into fruitful new relationships. Watch the synchronicities unfold.

How neat! I'm afraid too many people that would encounter the same situation would turn down dinner out of suspicion.
I'm with you - sounds cool and a great chance to meet new friends!
