Last week, I wrote about my favorite cookbooks. One of them I mentioned, Angel Foods by Cherie Soria, has been sitting next to my bedside ever since. Is it because I want to dream about raw food? No. Well, now that I think about it, that sounds like a good idea too. I brought this book near me at night because of the prayers held inside.
At the beginning of each recipe section, you'll find a beautiful conversation called "A Talk with Spirit about..." (insert different topics that us mortals want to know about). Towards the end of the prayer, it comes back to food and how we are being nourished by it. I picked these two prayers because I know, in my heart, we all want the experience of abundance. In order to have it, there must first be acceptance.
Before I share this with you, let me say this - if the language doesn't fit in your current understanding or liking, be open to the message. Don't let yourself miss out on the beauty that's expressed here. In celebration of you! Thank you Angels.
A Talk with Spirit about Acceptance
I ask Divine guidance to assist me in loving and accepting myself as I am. I know that every experience I've had in my life has brought me to this moment; therefore, I bless my past and all who have participated in creating me as I am today. Help me understand that each part of me is a Divine piece of the whole. Help me to be grateful to my body for providing me with a comfortable home and to my mind for the wisdom to desire a balanced life. I ask for your assistance so that I may love myself, accept who I am, and express my true self without fear of rejection or loss of love. Help me also accept others for who they are without expectation of how they "should" be.
I recognize that we are all one and that these foods, like myself, are perfect examples of God in nature. Therefore, I glorify them and see them as Divine, just as I am Divine. As we unite, our Light becomes even more bright. I love you, I bless you, I am one with you and All That Is.
