On Sunday, I attended a memorial for the mom of a dear friend that I've known for 20 years. She had passed unexpectedly in a car accident. The service was beautiful, a true celebration of her life and the many she touched. When I first heard the news, a wave of emotion rolled over me. Actually, that's not true. It was more like a pummeling. Memories of conversations, dinners, camping, run-in's at stores, and more flashed through my mind. I hadn't realized how much she had influenced my life and was a role model for me.
Mentally scroll through a list of those that you've known. What pops up when you think of them? What did you learn about yourself, and life, through them? How are you different as a result? What would you like to thank them for?
Taking stock of how you've always been supported - in getting clear, in knowing what's important, and in becoming more yourself - is healing and liberating. Who are you grateful for having known, and why?

I heard something a few minutes ago that I really like and wanted to share... Life is so so unpredictable, fragile, we are only given one life, one breath, one heart beat at a time...one moment. When death comes to one of us, it comes to all of us, its the one thing we all have in common. Sooner or later it's the one place we are all headed. Ask yourself, what will you do with each moment of your life?
